If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. You can also use our fave TinyJpeg to make them small so your blog posts still load quickly!

my top 5 Sonoma wedding venues

My Favorite Wedding Venues in Sonoma & Wine Country

As a wedding photographer in Sonoma, I’ve had the joy of capturing love stories in some of the most beautiful and romantic settings in Wine Country. While there are so many incredible venues, a few have truly captured my heart. These are my personal favorites for their timeless beauty, elegance, and magical photography opportunities:

1. Viansa Sonoma
Viansa offers panoramic vineyard views, charming terraces, and a rustic yet elegant vibe. Its combination of open-air spaces and cozy tasting rooms makes it perfect for both intimate ceremonies and grand celebrations. The vineyards and rolling hills provide endless opportunities for stunning wedding photography.

2. MacArthur Place
This historic estate is full of classic architecture, lush gardens, and timeless charm. It’s ideal for couples who want a romantic, intimate, and elegant wedding. As a photographer, I love how every corner of MacArthur Place naturally creates beautiful, light-filled portraits.

3. Stanly Ranch Auberge
Stanly Ranch is a luxurious and scenic wedding destination in Napa Valley. With its sprawling lawns, vineyard backdrops, and breathtaking views of the mountains, it’s perfect for couples looking for modern elegance paired with natural beauty.

4. Montage Healdsburg
Montage Healdsburg offers five-star luxury, dramatic architecture, and scenic surroundings. From vineyards to lavish indoor spaces, this venue is perfect for couples seeking a grand, elegant wedding with incredible photo opportunities.

5. Beaulieu Gardens
Beaulieu Gardens is an intimate, romantic garden venue tucked in the heart of Wine Country. Its lush greenery and serene ambiance create the perfect setting for timeless, romantic wedding photography.

Each of these venues has its own unique charm, and I’ve found that they all provide incredible backdrops for capturing authentic, elegant, and heartfelt moments. Whether you’re planning a vineyard wedding, historic estate celebration, or luxurious resort event, these Sonoma and Wine Country venues are some of my top picks.

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET Claire

Capturing love, connection, and timeless beauty in every wedding and lifestyle session.

An editorial and cinematic wedding photographer based in the breathtaking landscapes of Northern California. My journey as a wedding photographer began in 2016, shortly after I graduated from UC Berkeley. Photography started as a creative outlet for me as I worked towards a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology but each year that my business grew, my passion for storytelling grew with it. After completing my doctorate, I decided to venture on the path less taken (or likely never taken) and apply the incredible skills learned in my graduate training towards a career as a wedding photographer.  This has given me the ability to capture not just moments, but emotions, creating timeless visual narratives that reflect the genuine essence of each couple's love story. My awareness of emotions allows me to better connect with clients, translating their stories into captivating and authentic images. Driven by both artistic passion and psychological understanding, I aim to transform weddings into art, preserving the beauty of emotional connections that last a lifetime.

While Northern California is my home and my muse, my love for photography knows no boundaries. I've had the honor of traveling to capture destination weddings, crafting timeless images that reflect the essence of love in the most extraordinary settings.

I hope as you browse through this site you enjoy my work and you will be able to see how much I love capturing raw and authentic moments with all natural lighting!

"While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.”
